Cost to Re-Upholster Club Chair and Ottoman
Too many solid neutral colors in the same room. Neutral walls. A neutral rug. And the worn neutral fabric on a favorite club chair and ottoman.
Thinking to have the chair and ottoman reupholstered anyway, this Pilesgrove, NJ couple decided to add some pattern into the room. When discussing fabric with them they said, "We are looking for something in earth tones and a pattern. Something durable and contemporary."
Before
This is a photo of the club chair and ottoman they sent.
We dropped off a selection of fabric sample books when we picked up the furniture.
They narrowed down on a color range and liked foliage and botanical patterns.
We sent some other samples in those colors and patterns.
They selected a sedate leaf pattern from Barrow: pattern Johanssen color Shore.
After
With a pattern repeat of 13" by 13" the fabric fit well on the larger scale of the furniture.
The leaf pattern helped break up the blocky presence of the club chair, adding some sense of 'movement' in the room.
One less solid neutral lets the other solid neutral colors in the room fulfill their role - to let the accent pieces stand out.
